The story
The treatment gave him his memories back. Someone else paid for them.
A volunteer at a memory-restoration clinic wakes with the first clear recollection of his daughter's voice in years. Then strangers begin greeting him as a husband, a brother, a man he has never been. Each successful treatment is replacing another person with him. To keep the memory he came for, he must discover whose life it once belonged to.
