The story
One bell separates a sleeping city from everything it buried.
A restorer working alone above the city becomes trapped inside a bronze bell marked for demolition at dawn. Below its lip, he hears the voices of the dead rehearsing the names of the living. His daughter is somewhere in the streets beneath him. To keep the bell silent, he must understand why it has chosen him as its clapper.
