The story
The theatre is empty. The portrait onstage has just turned toward someone.
A stage technician spends his nights assembling a face from hundreds of suspended rods. From the empty auditorium, it always looks unfinished. Then he notices the portrait changing whenever he turns his back, completing itself for a viewer he cannot see. Before the opening performance, he must find out who has been watching, and why the face is beginning to resemble him.
