The story

In a crowded square, a man becomes a human-shaped opening into the stars. The city sees a phenomenon; a child sees the neighbor who once walked him home. As the crowd gathers and officials prepare to take the stranger away, the boy searches for someone willing to remember a person whose name is disappearing from every mouth but his.
