The story
Beyond the cloud line waits a tower nobody admits exists.
A maintenance worker discovers a bridge leading from his building into clouds where the city maps show nothing. Across it, a light flashes the signal his missing wife used when they first met. Ordered to dismantle the crossing before dawn, he has one night to find out who is calling and whether the return journey will still be there.
