The story
One lamp still burns beneath everything a city left behind.
After the evacuation, archivist Sami accepts one last job: identify the possessions nobody claimed. Beneath towers of broken appliances, he finds his mother's handwriting on an object she never owned. Each item he catalogs deepens the shaft around his desk. To reach daylight, he may have to discard the only evidence that she was ever there.
